St Thomas’ hosp physio lost my referral so made an appointment and saw private physio in West End. (60min = £60). Lots of pulling and pushing later and the diagnosis is a muscle imbalance in my hip!

Right hip is ‘loose’ and when running I land too flat on my foot, which then rolls and forces my right calf to work harder to push off which has become very tight, restricting my foot roll further until my knee gave way and I have bog-standard ‘runners knee’.

Nike Pegasus (new shoes from Run & Become £39) are neutral and therefore no good, physio recommended I see the podiatrist for a new insole (£65 + insole cost!) and have a follow-up appointment next Monday for 30mins.

Daily homework: Long calf stretches (hold 1 x each leg for 30secs), glute stretches (12 x 2), and pelvic bridge (12 x 2).

Flick through the ‘Solid to the Core’ and see the same exercises in there, must make a point of working on these for future.

Physio thought Hellrunner was a BAD idea :(
